Our dog-friendly, comfortable lobby offers wi-fi, organic coffee, and children’s area. We are right on the Shelburne Road bus route. Pick up your car and discover a tasty treat for the drive away. Its all part of the Girlington Garage experience.

Demeny Pollitt

OWNER/MANAGER She/Her

Demeny is a graduate of Vermont Technical College and the Women’s Small Business Program. She started Girlington Garage to provide high quality automotive service coupled with a focus on clear communication and honest business practices. When she’s not hanging out at the shop, she’s gardening, exploring the woods, looking for delicious mushrooms, and chillin’ with her two kitties.

Darrell Brown

TECHNICIAN He/Him

Darrell is a Ford Master Certified Technician with many years of experience and a wealth of knowledge. When he’s not working his magic on vehicles, you’ll find Darrell with a fishing pole or a double IPA in his hand (sometimes both) or working on his new-found hobby of making gorgeous wood carvings.

Max Berlow

TECHNICIAN He/Him

Max is our resident hybrid/EV specialist, having just completed training and certification through AC/DC Training Center. When he’s not fixing your cars, he’s hunting mushrooms, avoiding clowns, and searching for a cheap house to buy. (Update: He found one and loves it! He now lives in harmony with his dog and the chickens) He’s not lactose intolerant, but he is a celiac, so keep those tasty delights wheat-free!

Derek Cherniawski

TECHNICIAN He/Him

Derek moved to Vermont from Michigan back in the golden era of the 2010s. He’s been a technician for 10 years, and he still really likes it! He recently completed training and certification through AC/DC training center, making him our second Hybrid Specialist! If he hadn’t become a technician, he would have been a punk rock wizard, saving the world with his most excellent guitar skills and his triumphant Tae Bo teachings. If you want to bring him a delicious treat, just make sure it’s lactose-free!

Nya Key

SERVICE COORDINATOR She/Her

After 10 years in retail management, the sparks didn’t start to fly until she found her place as a service advisor. Now a seasoned advisor, Nya comes equipped to take care of any of your needs that may arise with patient understanding and empathy. When not in the shop she loves to explore all 4 seasons of Vermont with her son and husband. She’s also a graphic designer for fun and has a new passion for creating aromatherapy treasures.

Allie Rowley

ADVISOR She/Her

Allie is a native Vermonter who worked in foodservice and retail for 5 years before finding her place as a service advisor at Girlington Garage - a role that combines her passions for customer service and the automotive industry. She enjoys being able to provide insight to help customers understand the repairs being done to their vehicles. In her free time, she enjoys working on her personal fleet of cars, traveling, and spending time with her partner and pets!

Chad Merchant

TECHNICIAN He/Him

Chad is a native Vermonter. As a kid, he was certain he would be a world famous professional baseball player, but the sweet siren (engine) song of cars and tools and grease called him away as his grandfather taught him to wrench. He has been a professional technician since 2018 and he loves learning everything he possibly can about his trade. He loves spending his free time hanging out with his kids. He just bought his first house so he’s recently found himself waist deep in plumbing and roofing projects.
